In recent years, the focus has shifted to environmental aspects and climate impact. Particularly in the post-Covid phase and due to the growing needs of the “younger” generation, topics such as work-life balance and mental health are also being addressed and demanded more and more frequently. In order to meet these needs, companies must become aware of this changing canon of values and bring all three dimensions of sustainability into their own balance.

Commitment to the region: The Langenhagener Tafel and the Social Day

In addition to its commitment to its employees, the company also attaches great importance to its close ties with the Langenhagen/Hanover region. Since the Langenhagener Tafel was founded in 1998, Holtmann+ has supported this charitable organization, which helps those in need in the region. We provide resources and work closely with the organizers, including the Holtmann family, to ensure that the food bank can continue its important work. This partnership, which has now been in place for over 25 years, not only strengthens our connection to our home region, but is also an important part of our social responsibility.

Another highlight of the company's commitment to the community is the annual Social Day, which gives Holtmann+ employees the opportunity to actively participate in social projects in the region. From designing playgrounds to maintaining nature reserves and supporting the multi-generational house, the teams lend a hand to make a positive impact on our surroundings. Kirsten Bittenbinder takes part in Social Day every year and reports:

Through internal workshops, onboarding and training on topics such as artificial intelligence and sustainability, we are expanding our employees' knowledge and creating intrinsic motivation for sustainable action.
